  • As strategy advisor he analyses and provides the development trends and forward-looking judgments of operators; collects voices and opinions from key decision-makers and provide insight as the basis for any decision making. 

 

  • He is commercial strategy expert and lately was involved in several 5G launches in the GCC, from ideation to market launch

 

  • He is the regional SPOC for the commercialization of the Huawei digital platform CWR

 

  • Before joining Huawei, Mr.  Sami served as Chief Consumer Officer and Sr. Executive Vice President Consumer Marketing in Mobily. 

 

  • He served Mobily KSA and Etisalat UAE in more than 13 years in various roles. 

 

  • He was part of selected 40 Etisalat staff who created green field operator in Start-up mode in 2004 to achieving at peak more than 3.6bn USD/pa revenues and having more than 3500+ Staff under his responsibility.

 

  • He shaped the strategy of Mobily, where he was the Commercial leader for the long term Strategic Plans. Commercial leader for the Digital Transformation and Big Data Monetization. Member of the Innovation Board, Company leader of 3rd entrant and MVNO preparations as well as the leader for the customer experience strategy. He served in the Etisalat Group Digital Services board. 

 

  • Before that he worked in various functions with Siemens AG, Andersen Business Consulting and a German technology start-up.

  • In addition to his double degree in European Business Administration, he has attended Executive Development Programs in INSEAD, London Business School and Kellogg School of Management.
